As a photographer, I always want my couples to know that I’m truly invested in them and their big day. This goes beyond my “photographer duties” and simply capturing what is in front of my lens. From the moment I meet the bride and groom to be, I want to know about their story. Then onto the wedding day – what is important to them, what they want to invest in – this becomes important to me as well. Calgary is a city full of so many extremely talented vendors, and there’s nothing better than knowing my brides and grooms have an amazing team behind them. This is what inspired me to reach out to said vendors in hopes of collaborating with them many times in the future. The people I’ll be featuring are who I consider to be true artists. They’re trustworthy, professional, and want the same thing I do – to make their clients SO happy. As I said before, YYC is so full of these people – and there are way too many to ever imagine featuring. But for now, I’ve been getting to know some fabulous wedding vendors, and I’m so happy to sharing their beautiful work with you.
The first vendor I’m featuring is Vicki of Pretty Sweet Co. I’ve collaborated with Vicki a few times in the past year, and I’m so delighted that our styled wedding shoot captured this winter will be featured next week. Crazy enough, as I arrived at our shoot earlier this week, we realized we had never actually met in person! That’s one wonderful thing about social media (and wedding planners… haha). But going back to social media – it can make us feel so connected, and give us the chance to connect with people we may not have had the opportunity to meet. I was so excited to work with Vicki for many reasons, one being her stunning cookie art. For wedding cakes, she specializes in “naked cakes”, simple design, and beautiful details. Basically, she rocks it all. I felt so fortunate to be able to capture an array of her delicious desserts – and I hope this gives you all a good glimpse into the world of Pretty Sweet Co! Oh, and I apologize… it’ll also give you a mad sugar craving.
