Bretton & Chris – Engagement Session – Calgary Wedding Photographer

In my new pricing guide, I wanted to have a personal piece. Because hiring a wedding photographer is not just about finding the photographer that fits into your budget – but about the photographer who is the right fit for you as a couple. One of the most important excerpts from my guide is “I believe I am the perfect fit for couples who love a classic, natural and romantic style. Who aren’t afraid to be their true selves in front of the lens. Who love each other deeply, and aren’t afraid to show it…” I was inspired by THIS couple. Here’s why:
Bretton is a photographer herself. This alone probably explains a lot. However, she (more than once) exclaimed that she was a little nervous, and wasn’t used to being on the other side of the lens! But she could envision herself in my images, and trusted me. She and Chris weren’t afraid to put their usually private love on display for a couple hours. Their kisses were more than a peck, their embraces were stronger, and their looks were longer than a glance. They trusted me to make what could be an awkward situation, totally natural. And to top it all off, they went shopping for outfits that showed their personal styles, but also looked awesome together. (Like – hello JCREW models!) B & C followed advice about bringing two outfits. One casual, one more classy. They trusted me to suggest two locations, and never rushed me through the process. The absolute best part? The reaction after Bretton and Chris had received their DVD. The best compliments are 1. “We had so much fun! That was way easier than we thought!” and 2. “You captured us perfectly.” I know I did my job well when I hear these.

Now that you’ve read me completely gush over this amazing couple, enjoy the images from their engagement session! I know I sure do!
